The situation at Capgemini has made its way into the media*

„Is Capgemini Planning Major Job Cuts in Wolfsburg?“ headlines like these are causing considerable uncertainty among many colleagues.

What will actually happen is still unclear. The Central Works Council and the employer have only just begun discussions on the matter.

For IG Metall, one thing is clear: jobs must not be given up prematurely. We will critically examine the company’s arguments, scrutinize all economic considerations, and work together with the works councils to identify alternatives.

Our objectives are clear:

  • Avoidance of compulsory redundancies
  • Use of qualification, reskilling, and further training opportunities
  • Review of transfer and employment options within the Group
  • Development of viable long-term prospects for the sites
  • Transparency towards employees

To achieve these goals as effectively as possible, we need to strengthen our negotiating position. We can only do that together.

We will not leave you alone in this situation!

Be part of something bigger: Together, we are stronger.
