General meeting: Entry into company tariff!

In light of employer announcements regarding salary adjustments and inflation compensation, the IG Metall general meeting of Capgemini Engineering on June 15, 2023, unanimously approved Capgemini Engineering’s entry into an in-house collective bargaining agreement with two demands: 3,000 euros inflation compensation premium and 8% pay increase for all!

Entry into an in-house collective agreement means that the level of the industry-wide collective agreement is not the first goal, but that we proceed in stages. This approach will enable us to negotiate „tailor-made“ solutions in line with collective agreements together with the organized employees.

The enforcement of an inflation compensation premium exceeding the 500 euros granted by the employer with another 2,500 euros is possible! Likewise the increase of the individual remunerations of all around 8%. Fluctuation costs the employer substantially more! The employer proves that he is willing to pay higher wages by having already promised individual wage increases to a number of employees since the beginning of the year.

Regardless of what may come out of the negotiations on pay increase arrangements with the central works council in the conciliation committee forced by the employer: The budget is too stingy and too few are eligible! Still questionable: To what extent the distribution logic and the process of salary increases can still be influenced by the works councils at all.

Now is the time to develop trade union strength at Capgemini Engineering!

We can defend ourselves against non-transparent, unfair and arbitrary methods of the employer. We can
push through substantial pay increases and a supplement of 2,500 euros to compensate for inflation.

So join our strong and committed team and become a member of IG Metall.
